Below you will find a good selection of works from the 40's to the present. The artist resorts to oil, mixed with resins, glue and vinyl. At the beginning of his artistic career, Gamarra worked on large monochrome canvases entirely made of matter, composed of pre-Columbian signs and symbols. Later, he switched to smooth, flat surfaces, his palette became richer, with a variety of colors and greens typical of Amazonian landscapes. The most distinctive feature of it is the precision of its stroke. The landscape in his work evokes a wide range of historical periods. The jungle reveals different cultural influences as well as the clash of civilizations. His works reflect a strong historical consciousness.
